LETCHWORTH DISTRICT
GARDENERS
ASSOCIATION
Affiliated to the BFS, NCS, NDS, NSPS, NVS & RHS, RNRS
The Letchworth District Gardeners Association (LDGA) is a voluntary non-profit making society. Set up in 1906 to promote horticulture to the residents of Letchworth Garden City and surrounding areas, the Association now has around a thousand members with a keen interest in gardening, whether it be flowers or vegetables, at home or on an allotment.

The Association has shows twice per year where members show their prowess in a number of fields associated with growing and cooking (The Association has a brochure which has full details and an entry form).

There is a Trading Store "The Shed" in Flint Road, Letchworth, which supplies members with seeds, plant food, and the day to day needs of the amateur gardener, all at low prices. It is open most Sundays between 09:00am and 12:30pm from the beginning of February until November. Members are able to offer hints and tips on gardening problems or recommend someone who can. There is a car park for members convenience. The 'Shed' is the focal point of the Association and is manned by volunteers. If members would like to help in any capacity, their assistance would be very much appreciated.

Lectures are regularly given by members at the Guide Headquarters, 274a, Icknield Way, Letchworth at 7.30 p.m. , members and non-members are welcome

The Association is always looking for members who would be willing to join the committee and help with the organisation, there is always someone with a good idea, it could be you !!

Membership: £5.00 Per Household, no concessions.
